Collection: Playbooks & Convertibles
Superhero play gives kids the chance to pretend to be strong and invisible, encourages them to make new friends and helps them develop an identity outside real life. Kids learn to explore moral values and dilemmas and to establish what they and others perceive as right and wrong. By pretending to be a hero kids try on different personalities and while they might be intimidated to share their ideas as their own, as heroes they often find it easier to express different opinions. By taking on another persona, the child can practise responding positively to fearful and anxiety-producing situations, such as teasing and bullying.
